Kerala's famous 'Balaramapuram Handloom Sarees' has got the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) protection through Geographical Indications Act (GI Act).
The IPR protection, will be available for the next 10-years, was valid from January 19, 2010.
Balaramapuram situated 15 kms from city centre in Trivandrum District is famous for its handloom industry.
