The Kerala IPL team owners Rendezvous Sports Consortium met with the office-bearers of the Kerala Cricket Association at Trivandrum yesterday.
Trivandrum MP Shashi Tharoor, Team CEO PT Keshav, Chinthan Vora, Kailash Singhal, Vivek Venugopal, etc attended the meeting. They asserted that the matches will take place at Kochi itself, chances of conducting some matches at another venue like Trivandrum is also considered. The name and other details of the team will be announced later this month.
The members of the consortium ment Opposition leader Oommen Chandy along with Shashi Tharoor and had a discussion. The consortium later planned a meeting with chief minister VS Achuthanandan but had to postpone it to today.
According to unconfirmed reports the team will rope Ricky Ponting, Mahela Jayawardene, S. Sreesanth in the team and former Australian captain Steve Waugh will be the advisor of the team.
