Trivandrum, August 31: City will be the host for 2 week long Basketball fiesta starting on September 3rd.
Trivandrum Central Stadium will be the venue of the festival.
There will be added spices to the matches in form of songs and dances.
Basketball Federation of India is the organizers of the event. This is the first time Kerala is being acting as the host for NBA matches.
The season of this NBA has 100 teams from various places. Other hosts for NBA matches this season are Banglore, Ludhiyana, Mumbai and Delhi. The music, dance and songs will follow every time while matches are going on.
Regional teams are also allowed to participate in the matches. The matches are conducted under 4 heads. The subjunior [12-13 years] level, the junior [14-16 years] level, the senior [16-18 years] level and above 19 years level.
The chief aim of the event is bringing back the popularity of basketball among sports lovers. The second schedule of the NBA challenge is planned in Trivandrum. The gala will end on 17th September.
