Medi-Claim Policy Portability: Health Insurance Portability from October 2011

September 19, 2011: The health insurance policy and medi-claims can be transferred from one company to another company without any procedures from October 2011. This facility will help the consumers to transfer their policy easily according to their will.

The procedure is simple. One who want to transfer the policy should fill a portability form and submit it along with the photocopy of the existing policy and new medi-claim application form to the desired insurance company. One thing to remember is the new application should be submitted to the new company before 45 days of the last date of the existing policy.
