Nursing Colleges Demanding Bonds, Withholding Certificates gets show-cause notice


September 14, 2011: Nursing council of India has send show-cause notice to the state of Kerala and also to 12 nursing institutions for demanding compulsory bond from students and withholding certificates.

The action against Kerala state came after the council has found that the state is demanding a one year bond with MSc nursing students.

The list of institutions who will get show cause notice for creating bond and for with-holding certificates
1. Karuna School of Nursing & Heritage hospital, Hyderabad
2. Kokilabai Dhirubai Ambani Hospital, Mumbai
3. Kamini school of Nursing, Hyderabad
4. Baptist hospital, Habel, Banglore
5. Jaya school of nursing, warangal, Andhra Pradesh
6. Asian heart institute, Mumbai
7. Gravismeds School of Nursing, Vizag, Andhra Pradesh
8. Sree mookambika medical college, Kulasekharam, Kanyakumari
9. Royal school of nursing, J nagar, Banglore
10. Josco institute of health sciences, Banglore
11. Lekshmi memorial college of nursing, Banglore
12. Himalaya institute hospital, Dehradun, Uttarakhand

The council has got many complaints about various institues in Kerala too. Those institutes who deny to release the certificates will get the notice soon, said the Nursing Council Authority.

Those who have complaints can send it to the council directly or through Pathanamthitta MP Anto Antony at the address 90, South Avenue, New Delhi-110011.
