Cinema Strike: Malayalam Cinema Production Will Standstill From November 12

Trivandrum, November 12, 2011: Malayalam cinema production will temporarily halt after Malayalam Film Producers Association decided to stop production works of the movies.

The decision came after the film technicians group are not co-operating with producers to cut down the cost of the movie production.

The film producers association came with certain directions to cut down cost but the association saying that technicians are not co-operating with the decision. The daily schedule of shooting starts at 6 am and ends by 6 pm. But most time the schedule starts by 10 am and ends on 6 pm. But technicians ask for the full salary.

Also producers strictly limited the count of unit members to 85 most time it goes upto 150, which increases the cost.
