Trivandrum, 18 June 2012: R. Selvaraj of UDF, winner of Neyyatinkara by-elections sworn in as MLA in the Kerala legislative assembly today. He took the oath in the name of God after the question hour in the assembly.
With this the UDF government now has 73 members while the LDF With 67 in the assembly.
Selvaraj achieves the rare feat by becoming the first MLA in the state who was elected from both the fronts in the same assembly session. The CPM members protested during the oath taking ceremony accusing the MLA of accepting money to leave the party.
