Mobile Phone based Money orders, E-Post facility to be launched by Kerala Postal Department

Trivandrum, 30 July 2012: Postal Department (Kerala Circle) will launch an instant money remittance scheme named 'Mobile remittance scheme' during

August this year. The service launched in association with BSNL will be implemented in 30 selected post offices in Idukki, Aluva and Pathanamthitta.

As per the scheme a person can send money through the post office which will send a message to the other post office about the amount to be given to the other person.

The postal department will soon launch latest techology based e-post facility instead of conventional letter, electronic money order scheme against ordinary money orders, etc.
