Vice President visits Trivandrum today, traffic to be regulated

The Vice President of India, Dr. M Hamid Ansari will reach Trivandrum today for his three day official visit in the state.

He will participate in the National Seminar on Electoral Reforms at Kanakkakunnu Auditorium, inagurate of Library in Centre for Development Studies, inaugurate website on right to information act at IMG.

The vice president will move from Trivandrum to Calicut on 10th August.

City Traffic Police has imposed certain traffic regulations on July 8, 9 and 10 in connection with the visit of vice-president Dr M Hameed Ansari.

In connection with the visit of Vice President, the traffic towards Sanghumugham Beach, Pettah, Palayam, RR Lamp and Vellayambalam will be regulated on July 8 from 12 noon onwards.

On Friday, there will be traffic restrictions in the city from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and between 2.45 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.

On Saturday, there will be regulations for vehicular traffic towards the Sanghumugham beach side from 6 a.m. onwards.
