M Nandakumar appointed as the new Trivandrum District Collector

Trivandrum, 13 October 2011: The Government of Kerala has decided to appoint  M Nandakumar as the Collector of Trivandrum District.

Currently Sri Nandakumar serves as the Director of Public Relations Department. The present Trivandrum Collector PM Francis has been appointed as the district collector of Thrissur.

M. Nandakumar, an IAS Officer of Kerala cadre, was born in Ernakulam. His father Ambalapuzha C.K. Madhavan Pillai, an honours graduate in psychology from the Presidency college, Madras and a law graduate, was a noted Malayalam writer and his mother is Mullassery Saraswathy Amma. Nandakumar is married with two children. His wife Sreelatha is a Government Officer. Son Vishnu, an Engineer now studying in Dehradun and Daughter Parvathy, an Engineering final year student.

He is a popular figure in television shows in Asianet and Jaihind channels.  He also writes regular columns in Kerala Kaumudi publications 'Priya Snehitha' and 'Muhoortham'.
