Trivandrum, 12 December 2011: An electronic chip found inside toilet soaps has created panic among residents of Beemapalli, in Trivandrum. As per the reports the chip was a part of a survey conducted by a British company on the cleanliness habit of the people at coastal areas of India. People who participated in the survey had to use the soap for 5 days and return it back, they were given Rs. 400 as remuneration.
However when some residents spotted the chip, they mistaken it to be some recording device and reported it to the police. The soap in question was of Lifebouy brand of Unilever.
