SBT launches Green Channel Counter (GCC) paper less banking

Trivandrum, 30 January 2012: State Bank of Travancore (SBT) has launched its Green Channel Counter (GCC) paper less banking at its Kowdiar branch at Trivandrum.

Green Channel Counter (GCC)  is a new way of banking in which the customer transacts by swiping his debit card in a specially designed machine. Cash deposit, withdrawal and funds transfer can be done using this device and removes using the conventional paper-pen method. The new system aims to curb the  higher transaction time and stationery such as pay-in-slips, cheques and challans. A maximum limit of Rs. 40,000 can be made using the GCC. Also a printed receipt will be given to validate the transaction.

50 branches of SBT all over India gets the new service of paper less banking from today onwards.
