‘ICSET 2021’ conclave by ICT Academy of Kerala

 Trivandrum 13 March 2021: The fifth edition of the two-day International Conclave ‘ICSET 2021’ organised by the ICT Academy of Kerala will be held on March 15 and 16  virtually.

 The theme of this years ICSET conclave is ‘Leading the New Normal’ .R A Mashelkar, former director-general of CSIR will inaugurate the conclave. The event will be attended by Tony Thomas, chairman of ICT Academy of Kerala, William Sim, vice president, Trailhead Academy (APAC), Salesforce, and Rajasree M S and vice-chancellor of APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University.

The fifth edition of ICT Academy of Kerala’s International Conclave on Skills, Engineering & Technology (ICSET) is aimed at bringing closer the academia, industry, government and connected stakeholders at large, to discuss, deliberate and exchange ideas about skills, engineering and technology areas. This year's main theme is 'Leading the New Normal'.

A chosen diaspora of eminent speakers from across the world would be speaking or presenting their ideas under four major sub-themes (a) Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the New Normal (b) Knowledge Economy - The New Normal Career Opportunities (c) Changing Lifestyle in the New Normal (d) Technology Impact to Business and life in New Normal. The programme will be useful for researchers, academicians, Industrialists and practitioners across the globe and pave ways to explore the subject areas in a collaborative environment.

"Niracharth"-Painting exhibition

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: "NIRACHARTH", the maiden painting exhibition by a collective of Women painters, Chithrangana under Prachoditha Trust will be inaugurated by  District Police Chief Loknath Behera, at Kerala Arts and Crafts Village, Vellar, at 11.30 a.m. on Wednesday, 10th March, 2021. The exhibition, which will continue till March 14, is being held in association with the Regional Outreach Bureau - Kerala and Lakshadweep of the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Regional Outreach Bureau Joint Director Neethu Sona will deliver the keynote address.

Puthiya Keralam Modikkoppam (New Kerala with Modi) BJP releases slogan

Trivandrum 8 March 2021: The NDA alliance released its campaign slogan " Puthiya Keralam Modikkoppam" which means New Kerala with Modi for the Assembly Election scheduled in April 6.

The slogan was announced by Union Minister Amit Shah at the  Kerala Viaya Yatra function at Shangumukham, Trivandrum.

March 9 last day for new voters to register to vote in the Assembly elections

 Trivandrum 8 March 2021:Today (March 09) is the last day for new voters to register to vote in the Assembly elections. The supplementary voter list will be published including the new entrants. According to the voter list published on January 20, 2021, there are 27,69,272 voters in the district.

Anyone who turns 18 on or before January 1, 2021 can register to vote, according to the District Election Officer. Navjot Khosa said. To register, visit www.voterportal.eci.gov.in You can also add your name through the Voter Helpline mobile app. The Collector said that the names of the voters can be checked through the websites www.ceo.kerala.gov.in and www.nsvp.in.

According to the voter list published by the Election Commission on January 20, 2021, out of the total electorate in the district, 13,15,905 are men, 14,53,310 are women and 57 are transgender. There are 14 assembly constituencies in the district. Of these, Varkala constituency has 1,83,856 voters, including 85,078 men and 98,778 women. Attingal has 1,99,036 voters, including 90,771 men, 1,08,263 women and two transgender people
