Matsyafed Kerala has launched  its online fish delivery website Matsyafed Freshmeen. Freshmeen is an online e-marketing website owned and managed by Matsyafed Kerala State Co-operative Federation for Fisheries Development Limited. It is an Apex federation of 652 primary level fishermen development welfare co-operative societies whose developmental activities extends from marine district Trivandrum in the east to northern district Kasargod and inland district Kottayam. All members of our co-operatives are traditional fishermen. They went for fishing and return back within short time with their country crafts. Matsyafed procure the fish immediately from fishermen and deliver to the door step step of our pride customers without losing its freshness and quality.

Matsyafed comes under fisheries department, had kick-off its activities in 1984 and since then to till date we worked with utmost dedication and truthfulness worked for the welfare and development of fishermen without consider the profit. We have a plethora of dedicated technically qualified staff with a deep knowledge in fishing sector; no other organization in Kerala can assert the heritage held by Matsyafed through the day & night continuous 34 years of activities.

Proper technique of icing is another factor which helps to maintain the freshness of fish during transportation till they reach the landing centres and customers. Is anyone aware of the quality of ice used for chilling? Matsyafed owned flake ice units and we will always ensure the quality of ice used for icing. We also have sufficient lab facility with well versed staff to technically check the quality of the products we deliver and collect.

Kudumbasree Utsav Online Shopping Festival at www.kudumbashreebazaar.com

 Thiruvananthapuram, 4 November 2020: Kudumbashree Mission will organise an  online shopping festival this festive season. The festival named Kudumbasree Utsav will be held from November 4 to 19 at the online shopping portal www.kudumbashreebazaar.com. 

The products for sale in the online festival include handicrafts, jewellery, bag, face-masks, umbrella, curry powders, chips and kitchen utensils. Kudumbashree has tied up with India Post for delivery of products to buyers. 

Delivery charge will be free and products will be delivered anywhere across the country. Discounts up to 40% will be offered on as many as 600 products.

Buy Ayurveda Masks from Kudumbasree Kerala

Trivandrum 25 June 2020: Kudumbashree's micro entrepreneurs are getting ready for the production of 'Ayurveda Masks' in addition to the production of reusable cotton masks and face shields that are helpful for health workers, they are engaged in. Kudumbashree stepped in to the production of Ayur Masks associating with the State Ayush Department. The Ayur Masks were devised under the leadership of Dr. S.Anand, Assistant Professor, Government Ayurveda Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram.

The face masks are produced in handloom cloth. The medicines like thulasi, turmeric etc which enhance the respiration process are blended into the cloth just like the colour is mixed. The efforts to bring Ayur Masks to the market through Kudumbashree units has just started. The initial discussions regarding the production of Ayur Masks were done a few weeks back. Following that, 10 Kudumbashree women from Manikandeshwara, Vandana units of Thiruvananthapuram corporation were selected for producing masks on an experimental basis.

The initial orientation process for Ayurveda mask production was held at the Snehitha Centre, Peroorkada, Thiruvananthapuram on 15 June 2020. Three-Day technical training was given to the selected enterprise unit members from 17-19 June 2020. Dr. Anand and Shri. Aju, Pharmacist from Ayurveda college led the training sessions for the production of Ayur Masks. Face masks were made mandatory by the Government of Kerala for everyone to fight against covid-19 pandemic.

JioMart Trivandrum

Reliance Jio has launched online grocery service JioMart in India.

The service is live across more than 200 towns in India including Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Jaipur, Kolkata, Delhi, Bengaluru, Trivandrum and some tier II cities.

The JioMart website has listed essential grocery commodities along with farm produce. The vegetables and fruits will be directly sourced from farmers. Along with grocery other items like consumer goods and FMCG will also be delivered. JioMart has launched an introductory offer of a 5 per cent discount on maximum retail price for products. JioMart aims to compete with Flipkart, Amazon, Cure.Fit, Paytm, Swiggy, Zomato, Meesho etc

Approved Prices for Chicken, Beef, Mutton in Trivandrum

23/05/2020: The District collector Thiruvananthapuram has fixed the price for meat products to be sold in outlets in the district.

The price is as follows

Chicken 180-200
Mutton 680 - 700
Beef 300-350

The sale price of fishes will be announced by Matsyafed.
