Christ Nagar School, Trivandrum

Christ Nagar Group of Schools consists of three unaided recognized schools under three different Boards of Education, namely, Christ Nagar Higher Secondary School situated at Kaudiar near Vellayambalam junction in Trivandrum, affiliated to the ICSE / ISC Board, Delhi ,Christ Nagar English Higher Sec. School situated adjacent to Christ Nagar Higher Secondary School under the Kerala State Board of Education, and Christ Nagar Senior Secondary School, situated at Thiruvallam, in the suburban part of Trivandrum affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi. The Christ Nagar group of schools is owned and managed by the fathers of religious congregation of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate(CMI) at Christ Hall, the CMI Monastery at Kaudiar, Trivandrum. All the three schools are coeducational.



State School
The school was started in 1976 as unaided English Medium School recognized by the state government of Kerala as minority educational institution. The outstanding academic record consistently maintained by the school under the SSLC Board and its achievements in the co- curricular activities ever since its inception has made it one of the most reputed schools in the State. The year 2002 saw the upgradation of the Christ Nagar English High School to Higher Secondary Level.
Salient Features The school stands for excellence in academic and co-curricular activities of the students. It is a community of students and teachers who live in an atmosphere of a family loving and respecting each other. It has professionally competent and morally upright teachers, who are committed to their lofty vocation of forming the future citizen of our country as per our objectives. It provides enrichment programs to the high achievers special coaching to the promising students, remedial coaching to the weak students and offer counseling facilities to all the students. The school does not allow outside tuition for the students as it deprives the students of their learning time and their creative learning ability and confine them to spoon feeding. There are various programmers in the schools to help the students to develope the creative and aesthetic talents along with their academic growth.

ICSE School
Recognizing the competency and resources of the management of Christ Nagar School in running educational institutions with efficiency, the public pressurized the school authorities to start another school of the national pattern of syllabus and curriculum for children of the parents who has interstate transfer. Thus the Christ Nagar ICSE School was started in 1994; it was upgraded to higher secondary school in 1996 with science and commerce streams in standard XI and XII

CBSE School
Christ Nagar Sr Secondary School (CBSE) started in 1996 under Central Board of Secondary Education in 1996 for the benefit of the central government employees. It was started in the Kaudiar / Vellayambalam Campus of Christ Nagar School and was eventually shifted to Chavarapuram, Thiruvallom the beautiful hillock facing the Arabian Sea near Kovalam beach in the suburb of Trivandrum in August 1998.
