Kochi, 29 August 2011: A Gulf Air aircraft from Bahrain to Kochi skid off at the runway at Kochi- Nedumbassery CIAL Airport today early morning.
More than 10 passengers were injured and the condition of two people are very serious. The incident occured when the aircraft slipped off the runway and lost control while trying to land at the airport.
The aircraft had 137 passengers and six crew members on board. The passengers were evacuated and injured passengers are admitted in various hospitals. The airport has been shut down after the incident.
