Kozhikode, 10 March 2011: Actor Jagathy Sreekumar was seriously injured in a road accident at Panambra, near Thenhipalam, Kozhikode. The accident occured at 5 am in the morning when the Toyota Innova he was travelling hit a divider, injuring the actor and the driver.
Both was immediately shifted to the MIMS Hospital with the help of a passing by Ambulance. Jagathy Sreekumar who has suffered injuries in the intestine, lungs, etc has been admitted in the Intensive Care Unit and has been given artificial respiration with the help of ventilator.
Jagathy Sreekumar was travelling from the sets of the movie 'Thiruvambadi Thampan' directed by Padmakumar at Chalakudi to Mercara to attend the shoot of 'Edavappathi' directed by Lenin Rajendran in Mercara, Karnataka.
