Trivandrum, June 3, 2012: Around 80% votes were polled in the Neyyatinkara Assembly by-elections held on June2, 2012. Thirupuram panchayat recorded the highest voting percentage - 83.8% whereas Kulathoor panchayat recorded the least - 78.3%
The polling percentage in the election held last year was just 71%.
R Selvaraj (UDF), F Lawrence (LDF) and O Rajagopal (BJP) weree the candidates from the leading parties/fronts
