Hotels/Restaurants to observe 'Black Day' on August 2


Trivandrum, 29, July 2012: Restaurants and Hotels in Trivandrum will observe 'Black Day' on August 2, 2012 to protest against the move against restaurants and bakeries operating in hygenic conditions.

As per the secretary of the Kerala State Vyapara Vyavasayi Samithi, the government is conducting extensive raids on eateries and the media is providing misleading information about the conditions of the hotels, restaurants in the state.

In connection with the Black Day observation the workers in Hotels, bakeries will wear a black ribbon on August 2, to protest against this.

Meanwhile three noted restaurants in the city was closed following raids by the Health departments. The hotels are Kalpaka sea food restaurant at Technopark, Buhari Restaurant at Attakulangara, Kumar Cafe at Killipalam.
