First Mechanical elephant in Trivandrum 'Baladasan' donated to Pournamikkavu Temple

  Renowned actor Adah Sharma and PETA India have donated a life-size mechanical elephant to the Pournamikavu Temple in Thiruvananthapuram. The Mechanical elephant, named ‘Baladhasan’, is a unique 3-meter-tall mechanical elephant that weighs approx 800 kilograms. It was donated in honour of the temple’s commitment to never hiring or keeping real elephants. ‘Baladhasan’ will be the first mechanical elephant to be kept by a temple in Thiruvananthapuram. This is the third elephant donated by PETA and Adah Sharma as elephants are widely used in Kerala for religious and other purposes.
