Carnival Cinemas Central Mall Opens: Online Booking, Features

Trivandrum, 28 September 2018: The latest multiplex of Carnival Cinemas at Trivandrum has been inaugurated at Artech Central Mall at Pattoor, Trivandrum. The Carnival Cinemas Central Mall is the third from the company after multiplexes at Green Field Stadium and Travancore Mall.

The Central Mall constructed by the Artech Group features apparell and lifestyle brands from Future group retail.

Shankar - Rajinikanth starrer 2.0 will be the opening film of the multiplex. The four screen multiplex will have 2K projection in all screens, High luminous 3D screen, revamped recliner seats, wide parking space and personalised services.

The opening event felicitated Sri. Indrans, the best actor award winner of Kerala state film awards and charity shows for the children of Sree Chithra Home and Sai Gramam.

Controversial novel Meesa published by DC Books

Thiruvananthapuram: DC Books has published the controversial Malayalam novel "Meesa". The book which will be available from today onwards at DC Book stores was in news
after the novelist S. Hareesh was being allegedly threatened by some right-wing elements on social media. First three chapters of the novel was first published in Mathrubhumi which was later withdrewn following protest. 

In a statement, the DC said if 'Meesha' is not published now, it would be difficult to print a novel or story in future."

Malayalam Movie "Y" shot at Keston Road to release this month

Trivandrum, 15 November 2017: A movie shot at Keston Road during night for 25 days is all set to release this month. The movie titled "Y" directed by Sunil Ibrahim tells the tale of a street and the people who occupy it.

Director of Nivin Pauly starrer Chapters and Arikil Oraal, Sunil Ibrahim is famous for his experimental movies.

The movie will feature 40 new comers including Abhiram Suresh, Dheeraj Denny, Jins Baskar, Shini Ambalathodi, Sruthi Susen Sam, Reshma Shenoy and Anoop Ramesh.  Actor Alencier Ley Lopez will be the known face in the movie.

The movie will be released on November 17, 2017

Anizham Thirunal Marthanda Varma - The King Of Travancore ft. Rana Daggubati

Leading Telugu actor Rana Daggubati will now be seen performing in the lead role in a Malayalam film. The big budget period film directed by veteran director K. Madhu titled  Anizham Thirunal Marthanda Varma - The King Of Travancore will see the debut of Rana in Malayalam. The multilanguage film is penned by Robin Thirumala and produced under the banner of Seven Arts. 

The film is expected to be in two parts like Bahubali in which the second part of the film will deal with the life of Karthika Thirunal Marthanda Varma, a king of the Travancore who had fought against Tipu Sultan. The name of the actor who will be playing this character hasn't been revealed yet.

Peter Hein will handle the action scenes and Resul Pookkutty will be the sound designer.

Villain the most awaited crime thriller film written and directed by B. Unnikrishnan will be released on October 27th. The movie produced by Rockline Venkatesh stars Mohanlal, Vishal, Manju Warrier, Raashi Khanna, Hansika Motwani, and Srikanth. Manoj Paramahamsa handles the camera and music is composed by 4Musics and Background score by Sushin Shyam.

Villain is the first Indian film to be completely filmed and to be released in 8K resolution.  The teaser trailer was released online on 27 April 2017, which set a record for a Malayalam film by clocking 1 million views within three hours

Villain is his fourth film with Mohanlal after Madambi, Grand Master and Mr. Fraud. Mohanlal plays the character named Mathew Manjooran, a retired cop while Manju Warrier essays the role of his wife.

I am an Indian Patriotic Song by ISRO Scientists Rock@Band

Trivandrum, 15 August 2017: Rocket scientists from Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has launched a music video commemorating Independence Day. The music video titled 'I am an Indian' has been  made by the 20 members of the band, Rock@Band.

The seven minute video song spreads the message of peace and harmony in the country amid all obstacles it goes through.

The music video project is supported by Space Engineers Association (SEA).

Priyamani marriage with Mustafa Raj on August 23

Actress Priyamani will tie the knot with her long time friend Mustafa Raj on August 23. As per reports, the marriage will be a registered one followed by a private ceremony.

The couple were engaged in May last year which was held on May 27 at Priyamani's residence in Banashankari, Bengaluru. Priyamani met her fiancé during an IPL match and love blossomed between the two. Mustufa runs an event management company and is a Mumbai-based businessman.

Kerala Evergreen FC Trivandrum

Kerala Evergreen FC with its home ground at Trivandrum is all set to enter the I-League, one of India's two top division leagues, next season.

The club will be based in Kerala's capital city of Trivandrum and will be part of the I-League 2017/18 should their bid to enter the league become successful, reports Sportskeeda. In the process, Kerala Evergreen FC could become the first I-League club to have majority foreign ownership in the form of the investment of a Singaporean company, MySports Management and an Indian company, Liwing. Incidentally, they would also become the first team from Thiruvananthapuram to play in the I-League.

Kerala Blasters Team Line up after Draft 2017

Trivandrum: Kerala Blasters, Kerala's own ISL Football club has picked 11 Indian players from the Indian Super League draft which held yesterday.

The list picked by new head coach Rene Meulensteen and assistant coach Thangboi Singto. includes prominent players from the North East along with the Kerala defender Rino Anto.

Pulimurugan 3D

Pulimurugan, the all time leading money grosser in Malayalam film Industry is all set to gather new records. The Pulimurugan 3D version has been released across 60 plus screens in Kerala today.

This is for first time in the history of Malayalam cinema that a 2D film is being converted in 3D for a re-release.
