State Television Awards for the year 2009 has been announced. Agneyam (Doordarshan) won the award for the best television serial.
Manikandan (Unaru) became the best actor and Meera Krishna (Agneyam) became the best actess.
The awards are as follows:
Best director (teleserial/telefilm) - Ajan ('Athira', Amritha TV)
Second Best Serial - Swartham (Amrita TV)
Best Telefilm - Athira XC (Amrita TV)
Best comedy programme - Comedy Star (Asianet)
Best dubbing artiste (male) - Shoby Thilakan (Nizhalum Nilavum Parayunnathu', Amritha TV)
Best dubbing artiste (female) - Sarada Teacher ('Agneyam', Doordarshan)
Best child artiste - Nandu (Kunhikkoonan, DD).
Best cameraman - Sujith Vasudev ('Nizhalum Nilavum Parayunnathu')
Best music director - Viswajith (Amritha TV)
