The New Generation Malayalam Movie Heroes

Mollywood saw many great actors but a few became stars. The list of stars of Mollywood is a countable integer. The history of Malyalam cinema which is just above 50 years produced somesuper stars like Prem Nazeer, Jayan, Sathyan, Madhu, Soman, Sukumaran, Ratheesh, Mammootty, Mohanlal, Suresh Gopi, Jayaram, Dileep and Prithviraj. Considering with the popular cult of other cinema industry, the count is less in Mollywood. But the situation has changed in last 2 years. New stars are coming up and they are staying in the indiustry by giving some good movies, performance and also providing big hits.

Asif Ali - Asif has made his debut in Shyamaprasad’s Ritu. He is a promising face for the Malayalam film industry. He was part of the biggest hit of the 2010-Apoorva Ragam and two of the biggest hits of the year 2011-Traffic and Salt n Pepper. His movie Kadha Thudarunnu too collected well in the BO. Apart from these the forthcoming projects Sevenes and Asuravithu, which are expected to be very big movies of Asif's career.

Vineeth Sreenivasan -Vineeth Sreenivasan is the son of the legend Director, Actor and Scriptwriter Sreenivasan. Vineeth had proved his talent as an actor, playback singer and as a director. He made his debut as a director in Malarvadi Arts Club, which was a hit in 2010. He had delivered 3 hits in the last three years- viz Cycle(2008), Makantae Achan (2009), Traffic (2011). The film Chappa Kurishu released this year is also collected in the boxoffice.

Dulquar Salman -Mammoty’s son Dulquar Salman's debut is in Srikanth Rajendrans film - 'Second Show'. Its heard that he had already signed with the projects of Tamil Hit maker Linguswamy -(Director of Run, Paiyya, Bheema, Sandakkozhi and Anandham) and Anwar Rasheed. We could see the face of the versatile actor's son in the silver screen soon.

Jayasuriya-The anchor turned actor –Jayasurya has delivered a big hit in the last year. His film Cock tail was a landmark movie in his career. This year too, he got one good movie in 'Janapriyan' . His upcoming projects includes Vadhyar and Kunjaliyan.

Kunchako Boban-The romantic - all time chocolate college boy is now back in the track and kept his track record in good manner as he is rated as the most successful hero in the last two years. His movies Elsamma Enna Ankutty, Mummy and Me, Sakudumbam Syamala, Seniors, Traffic, Three Kings; all were hits. He has always managed to make his place in the industry since his entry happened with a milestone movie 'Aniyathipravu' in 1997. The upcoming project - Sevenes (directed by the hitmaker Joshy) will be yet another milestone in his career. He is all set to prove that he is the real campus hero in his upcoming project Dr. Love .

Fahad Fazil(Shanu) - Son of the director Fazil. Still Fahad was unable to deliver a Big Hit in Malayalam, but the actor is a likable one for the Mollywood. Cocktail and Chappa Kurishu was a turning point in his career. In Mrityunjayam of Kerala Café and Pramani he had played good role and he had already proven himself in doing serious as well as romantic characters.

Indrajith Sukumaran- He is the son of Late Malayalam actor Sukumaran and he is also the brother of Prithviraj Sukumaran. He is one of the fabulous actors who had created his own place in the industry and he is able to play all the categorical roles. His villain role in Baba Kalyani was applauded well. The two movies Chekavan and Nayakan released in 2010 was a good beginning to the actor as a full length hero .The actor has his responsibility in delivering good films. His upcoming movie Karmayogi and 'E Adutha Kaalath' will be a turning point in his career.

Narein-Narein is hero in both Malayalam and Tamil movies, His debut was with Jayaraj’s Blockbuster movie '4 the people'. Achuvinte Amma and Classmates were remarkable hits for him. In tamil industry also he had managed to find a place under the stiff competition of young stars. His upcoming project Veeraputhran with P T Kunjumuhammed will be a landmark in his career.

Prithviraj -Prithviraj is the younger son of Late Malayalam actor Sukumaran. Prithivi had already placed the Stardom in both Malayalam and Tamil films. The film Urumi which hits the silver screen this year was a marked hit in his career as well in the Malayalam film history. Classmates, Nandanam, Swapnakoodu, Chocolate, Puthiya Mukham can be added to the hitlist of the rising star. The image of the actor stepped into an action hero by the movie Puthiya Mugham. The upcoming projects Theja Bhai and Family will be the attraction from the rising star. Its heard that the mallu heartthroab is debuting in Hindi too. He is definitely one of the promising stars in Indian film industry.
