Trivandrum, October 18, 2011: KSRTC decides to introduce Global Positioning System in its Buses as the part of introducing modernisation in to the Corporation. The GPS will help to indicate all buses which are running in various places and it will increase the efficiency and credibility
KSRTC.
The tender has been already invited from related IT companies for the purpose. There is a system to know the timing of the KSRTC buses through sms. But it only provides the scheduled timing. But by the introduction of GPS, one would be ale to get the real timing of the buses.
A round the clock data center is already working in Transport Bhavan. The new system can use data centre for its working.
