The results of the Idea Manorama news Newsmaker 2011 was announced by director Adoor Gopalakrishnan yesterday. Around 6 lakh Malayalees voted in the sms, online contest which included nominees such as Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, minister PK Kunhalikutty, actor Salim Kumar, etc.
Kochouseph Chittilappilly, leader of one of the most successful business firm from Kerala is better known for his humanitarian practices. He donated his kidney to a stranger as a part of a kidney donation chain formulated by Kidney Federation of India. He has raised his voice against the Nokkukooli which is prevailing among the labour sector in Kerala. Chittilappilly has also filed a suit in the High Court of Kerala seeking permission for Euthanasia.
