New Delhi, 22 February 2011: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will inaugurate the work related to the second phase of the City Road Improvement Project (CRIP) at Trivandrum. The city will get five new roads at a stretch of 9.5 kms which includes 2-km Kowdiar-Peroorkada stretch; 2.75-km RR Lamp-Statue-Overbridge-Pazhavangadi stretch; 1.46-km Attakulangara-Sreevarahom-Enchakkal stretch; 2.7-km Museum Junction-Bakery-Panavila-Model School junction stretch; and the 600-m new alignment at Shanghumughom, reports The Hindu.

14 km road in the city has been earlier developed under Phase I of CRIP. The Trivandrum Road Development Company which builds the road will now enter the third phase of the project soon.
