Lodge Complaints to Kerala Police through FRIENDS Janasevanakendram

Trivandrum, 26 June, 2012: The Kerala Police has launched a new service of registering complaints through FRIENDS Janasevanakendram. With this service citizens can lodge complaints to the police without visiting the police stations. The service which is launched under the 'Sutharya Keralam' initiative includes all police stations in the state and is the first of its kind in the country.

Complaints can be lodge free of cost through selected Janasevanakendras by giving proper identity card and phone number. The complaint will then be scanned and sent to the concerned police stations online. The compainant will then receive the receipt and the phone number of the respective police stations.

Non resident Keralites can also file complaint through this service. They can sent complaints through email, along with the scanned copy of the complaint and passport.

The facility was inaugurated on 25th June, 2012 at Janasevana Kendram at Saphalyam Shopping Complex, Palayam by Home minister Thiruvanchur Radhakrishnan.
