How to find and save location of AI cameras in Kerala in Google Maps


The Kerala Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) has installed more than 700 Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered cameras in various roads in the state. The Department has announced the various penalties to be imposed to traffic rule violators in the state. However drivers can find the location of the AI cameras in Kerala and practice responsible driving through an extension which is made available for the Google Maps. Follow the steps:

1. Open the following link using your mobile. 

2. The link will show the AI Camera locations in your Google Map application

3. The map will be saved in the Map type selector located at the right top of the app below the search bar unless removed

4. Click on star button on the map name and the map will be saved in the Saved section under Map.

Free Vaccination Centres in Trivandrum for 45+

The district administration has arranged vaccination centres to administer free COVID-19 vaccines to people above the age of 60 and those between the ages of 45 and 50 with specified co- morbidities who live in the city limits.

Free vaccines would be administered at these centres from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

 Trivandrum, 9 March 2021: Political parties can now advertise on KSRTC buses in the forthcoming elections. KSRTC has invited advertisements with a monthly fee of Rs 12,600 and 18 percent GST for these ads.

The voter helpline app (Voter helpline app) is an app that helps people check if their name has been added to the voter list, if not registered, to register anew, correct mistakes, and download a photo voter ID card.


BLO Net Mobile App

At the booth level, the BLO Net mobile app is an app that enables officials to check election documents, upload relevant information, and take action online on complaints received online or in person.





C-Vigil App, Suvidha

The CVIGIL App, which helps the public to report violations of the Code of Conduct, the Candidate App, which allows candidates to verify their status after submitting their nomination papers, and the Nodal App, which facilitates immediate action on the candidates' application, constituency law and election observers. Other enabled apps are the Observer app which helps in commission reporting.

which will enable polling officials to quickly verify their voter ID card to facilitate voting, the Voter Turnout app, which will be published by the Election Commission on the day of the counting of votes, and the Personal With Applicability app, which will soon make the election process easier for people with disabilities.

India-Maldives AI 263 flight 2020

 

Trivandrum 20 August 2020: Air India has started a scheduled flight from Thiruvananthapuram to Malé, which will operate once a week for now. This is part of the new air bubble with the Maldives that India announced last week.

AI 263 will take off every Tuesday at 13.15 hrs from Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuram and arrive 1 hr 20 mins later in Malé at 13.55 hrs (local time).

Electric Autorickshaws in Trivandrum

Thiruvananthapuram: Electric rickshaws have been launched in the capital to promote eco-friendly vehicles. Mayor K Sreekumar donated the keys and flagged off the electric rickshaws purchased under the Municipal Smart City project. In the first phase, 15 e-rickshaws worth Rs 2.30 lakh will be launched. The vehicle was purchased by 15 women under the leadership of the corporation.

KSRTC Bus On Demand BonD Service at Trivandrum

KSRTC will start its pre-booked bus service titled ‘Bus on Demand’ (BonD) services,to  pick up and drop offpassengers working in Thiruvananthapuram city, from July 1 onwards.

 Initially, the service will be made available for passengers from Nedumangad and Neyyattinkara depots.There will be stops at the Secretariat, Public office, Jala Bhavan, AG’s office, Legislative Assembly and Medical College compound in the morning and evening.

The service will charge `100 for a day’s trip. Regular passengers will be offered a discount. The charge for 10 days is `950, `1,400 for 15 days, `1,800 for 20 days and `2,200 for 25 days. The service will be available only on working days.

Guruvayur Temple Virtual Queue Online Registration at www.guruvayurdevaswom.in

In connection with the Unlock mode in India, leading temples, churches and mosques will be open for public worship from 9th June onwards.

The Guruvayur temple in Thrissur district will be open from tuesday onwards. Darshan is offered on the basis of virtual queue. The booking for virtual queue is available at the website www.guruvayurdevaswom.in from 10 am onwards.

The darshann timings will be from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm. Only 150 people will be permitted in one hour and a total number of 600 people in a day. There will be no VIP darshan.

COVID Special Janshatabdi Express Timings, Stops, Guidelines, Tickets

Thiruvananthapuram railway division has enlisted the trains that will run between various Kerala districts from June 1st onwards.

Two special Janshatabdi trains will be running along the state.

Jan Shatabdi special train (No 02076)
 Thiruvananthapuram Central and Kozhikode
 The train will leave Thiruvananthapuram Central station at 5.55 am and will reach Kozhikode at 1.15 pm.

The train (No 02075)
Kozhikode at 1.45 pm and will reach Thiruvananthapuram at 9.35 pm.

Stops at Varkala Sivagiri, Kollam, Kayamkulam, Alappuzha, Cherthala, Ernakulam Junction, Aluva, Thrissur, Shoranur and Tirur.


The train (No 02082)
Thiruvananthapuram Central at 2.45 pm will reach Kannur at 12.20 am the next day.
Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Meanwhile the train (No.02081)
Kannur railway station at 4.50 am
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and reach Thiruvananthapuram Central at 2.25 pm, on the same day

Stops at Kollam, Kayamkulam, Mavelikara, Chengannur, Thiruvalla, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Thrissur, Shoranur, Tirur, Kozhikode, Vadakara and Thalassery railway stations.

Guidelines for passengers
Only online e-ticketing will be done through IRCTC website or mobile app.

Advance reservation period shall be a maximum 30 days

Passengers are encouraged to carry their food and drinking water

All passengers shall be compulsorily screened and only asymptomatic passengers will be allowed to enter /board the train

Only passengers with confirmed tickets shall be allowed to enter the railway station

All passengers must wear face covers/masks at the entry and during travel

The passengers shall reach the station at least 90 minutes in advance to facilitate thermal screening.

Kudumbashree Grand Care Programme for the Elderly



Kudumbashree is about to launch ‘Grand Care’ Programme for the care of the elderly as the elderly people are likely to suffer more if they get infected by the virus, as they have relatively less immunity and may have comorbidities. The logo of the ‘Grand Care’ Programme was launched by Shri. A.C Moideen, Minister, Local Self Government Department, Government of Kerala on 14 May 2020. It is decided to start implementing the programme by 15 May 2020 after a detailed planning.

As the countering activities against corona virus is entering into the next level, Kudumbashree aim at making the people aware that the elderly people need to remain more cautious. Grand Care Programme is conceived as a IEC (Information, Education and Communication) Campaign to spread the message to maximum public. Kudumbashree aim at conducting a massive IEC campaign, with the directions from the Health Department, associating with the Social Justice Department, Women and Child Welfare Department, Local Self Government Departments and District Administrations. The same would be organised by making use of the organisational system of Kudumbashree. The campaign is framed in such a way that the same would be continued for long term, by taking the message regularly to the public.

Kudumbashree is trying to spread the message through the NHGs to all families in Kerala, that the elderly should observe the covid-19 protocol and avoid physical contact with others. Also the message that the elderly people who returned from the foreign countries/other states should remain in home quarantine is also is communicated. In addition, it is planned to organize special campaign for the tribal people and people from the coastal areas through animators and coastal volunteers. Also a massive IEC campaign is planned by starting a centralised call centre for contacting the vulnerable elderly people. The programme also plans to spread the message through selected resource persons that the elderly people returned from foreign countries and other states should stay alert. Kudumbashree has also been making special interventions for the welfare of the elderly in the destitute families. In addition,  special activities are being implemented for the elderly in home quarantine, through the 786 resource persons in the state.

KSRTC Buses Recharge Ticket Card

Minister for Transport AK Sasheendran inaugurated the trial run of the travel card



Now passengers can travel in KSRTC buses using rechargeable passenger cards.  The project is being implemented as part of the transition to a more contactless digital payment system to maximize the use of currency in the Covid-19 context.

The Secretariat service buses from Attingal and Neyyattinkara are being tested in the first phase. The card can be purchased from the bus conductor. It can be recharged by paying Rs 100. You can charge from the bus depot. It can be used indefinitely until the recharge is over. Covid is implementing harmless sophisticated cards that can reduce the use of currency for travelers and employees, without the risk of infection. The project is being implemented by KSRTC for a company called 'Chalo'.

Cycle Tube, an initiative for servicing the bicyles during lockdown has been inagurated at Trivandrum. The initiative lauunched by Indus Cycling Embassy in assoication with Trivandrum Corporation and Silent Wheels, the bicycle shop in Trivandrum.
