BSNL launches GPRS free Mobile Banking from SBI


Trivandrum, 24 July 2012: BSNL in association with State Bank of India has launched its mobile banking service for its customers. The service does not need GPRS connectivity and will function using USSD code *595# ( for Prepaid & Postpaid customers).

The process as published by BSNL is as follows
Mobile banking using USSD code *595# ( for Prepaid & Postpaid customers)
GPRS facility is not required for this service.
Rs.15/-per month is charged for unlimited transaction.
Dial *595#
Press 0 to know about registration process.
Press * to subscribe @ Rs. 15/month.
Press 1 to Unsubscribe.
Registration procedure:
1.Send SMS to 9223440000 to get User ID and MPIN .
2. Reply message will give a user-id & default password(MPIN).
3.Customer has to submit application for mobile banking in SBI branch.
How to use
 Dial *595#
 Press * to subscribe to the service.
 Press 5 to confirm.
 Reply message: Thanks for choosing M-banking servce. You will be charged Rs.15/month for
unlimited transactions.
 Your request has been accepted. Please SMS Y and send to 52630(toll free) to reconfirm your
sub request, till then you will be charged Rs.1/- per transaction
 Send SMS Y to 52630(Toll free) for confirmation.

 Enter amount to be transferred:
 Enter your MPIN:
Fund Transfer-Register payee
 Dial *595#
 Enter user-id
 After selecting option 2
 Answer with option 1
 Enter payee Acc. No
 Enter Payee nick name
 Enter your MPIN
 Message will come as registered successfully.
Fund Transfer
 Dial *595#. Enter user-id
 After selecting option 2
Register Payee (Within Same Bank)
Transfer Fund
Delete Payee
 Answer with option 2
 Enter MPIN
 Reply with payee no-1/2/3
 After choosing payee-enter amount to be transferred
 Enter your MPIN
Fund Transfer –Delete Payee
 Dial *595#
 Enter user-id
 After answering with option2-choose option 2
 Enter MPIN
 Reply with payee no-1/2/3
 Reply 1 to confirm/Reply 2 to change
 Choose 1 to confirm

 Enter 7 digit MMID of the payee
 After entering the amount enter your MPIN

 Enter service provider name
 Enter 10 digit mobile number to recharge
 Enter recharge amount
 Enter your MPIN
Change MPIN
 Dial *595#. Enter user-id
 Select option 5
 Reply with 1 to accept
 Enter old MPIN. Enter new MPIN. Re -enter MPIN
 Message will be displayed “Your MPIN is changed”
Forgot MPIN
 Dial *595#
 Enter user-id
 Select option6
 Answer with 1 to confirm
 Message will be displayed “ New default MPIN has been sent to your mobile no”
Note:-You need to change your MPIN whenever you regenerate the MPIN and re-register at the
SBI Home Branch
