Trivandrum, 8 October 2012: Air Kerala, the first airline in India promoted by a state will be launched on April 14, 2013, said Kerala CM Oommen Chandy.
The Airlines expect to operate both domestic and International services and awaits nod from the Director General of Civil Aviation. As per the rules an airline can only operate international routes after completing five years of domestic service, however the state government hopes to get an exemption in the rules.
