Napier Museum Trivandrum turns online, to launch website

Trivavandrum: The renowned Napier Museum at Trivandrum will launch its official website soon. The website which will showcase more than 25,000 of its stuff with detailed description is being developed by the authorities.

The website will also have a provision to download the various paintings displayed in the museum. However this may be payable based on the price of the respective paintings.

Trivandrum Museum established in 1855 was desinged by Robert Chisholm in the Indo Saracenic design.The museum houses a rare collection of archaeological and historic artifacts, bronze idols, ancient ornaments, a temple chariot and ivory carvings. The Sree Chitra Art Gallery, Natural History Museum and The Zoological gardens form a part of the museum premises.
