Now passengers can travel in KSRTC buses using rechargeable passenger cards. The project is being implemented as part of the transition to a more contactless digital payment system to maximize the use of currency in the Covid-19 context.
The Secretariat service buses from Attingal and Neyyattinkara are being tested in the first phase. The card can be purchased from the bus conductor. It can be recharged by paying Rs 100. You can charge from the bus depot. It can be used indefinitely until the recharge is over. Covid is implementing harmless sophisticated cards that can reduce the use of currency for travelers and employees, without the risk of infection. The project is being implemented by KSRTC for a company called 'Chalo'.
