The Honey and Dates Fest - Makes Trivandrum Sweeter

Trivandrum, August 4: Those who want to enjoy different varieties of honey, come to Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium, where you can taste and buy 12 variants of honey ranging from Van thaen and Cheru thaen to Ginger honey and Tulsi honey.

One can taste the no. 1 honey of India, the Coorg Honey here. People are so fascinated by the different colours of honey, the old honey got a black shade while the honey extracted from the coconut tree got a reddish- yellow shade.

Another important product one can find here is the 'Honey Soap'. Its a special soap developed from the herbal mixture and honey. The co-ordinators of the fest, 'Arogya Samrakshana Vichara Vedi' opines that the enthusiastic respone from the Trivandrum population inspires them to bring more natural products to the city.
