The district administration has arranged vaccination centres to administer free COVID-19 vaccines to people above the age of 60 and those between the ages of 45 and 50 with specified co- morbidities who live in the city limits.

Free vaccines would be administered at these centres from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

MRP Price of Drugs/Medicines available online

The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority has announced the Maximum retail price (MRP) of 63 additional medicines sold in the country. MRP of an additional 345 drugs has been announced earlier. First Test tube babies at SAT Trivandrum

Trivandrum: The SAT hosptial Trivandrum became the first government hospital in south India to succesfully assist the birth of the test tube babies.

The first test tube babies born in a government hospital in Kerala belongs to Nikhila and Suresh, couples from Neyyatinkara. The twins, one male and the other female was born at 6:30 am through a c-section surgery.

The gynaecology team included Dr. Sheela Balakrishnan, Dr. Anitha, Dr. Raji Mohan, Dr. Saravanakumar.

The cost for the procedure was just one lakh rupees compared to 5-6 lakhs in the private hospitals.

Website for Vaccination alerts through sms and email

Kochi based company Codeyssus Labs has launched a service to set alerts about vaccination schedule of children to parents.

Users can visit the website www.alertable.in and register by giving  their email address, phone number and the date of birth of their children. They will receive information about the child's upcoming and completed vaccinations.
