Onam Celebrations Trivandrum Schedule 7 September 2011
InaugurationVenue: Nishagandhi Auditorium Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will inaugurate the function.

At Chandrasekharan Nair stadium, the event will be officially start with the percussion which has the participation of 100 artists and with a lead by the famous percussionist Peruvanom Kuttan Nair.

The government will honour Poet O.N.V. Kurup, writer Sukumar Azhikode, Poet Kavalam Narayana Panikker, film sound engineer Resul Pookutty, Kathakali artist Kalamandalam Ramankutty Nair and percussionist Mattannur Sankarankutty in the event.

The Festival office has been inaugurated by the Tourism minister A P Anil Kumar. The 7 day long celebration in 26 venues will showcase mega shows, classical dances, ganamela, heritage artforms, Kathakali, Kathaprasngam etc..

7.30 pm - RASA - The presntation of 'Naadan paattu' from the artists of different States

6.00 pm - Bhaava Rasa - Megashow by Mathrubhoomi and Tourism Department featuring Playback singers Hariharan, Kartik, Naresh Iyer, Vijey Yesudas, Akriti Kaakar, Chandrayi Bhatacharyaand Rajalakshmi
