Trivandrum, Oct 18, 2011: The South Indian Bank Grand Kerala Shopping Festival has launched a drive to send online Diwali video greetings to three lakh persons all over India. The greetings programme is planned to popularise the annual shopping festival to all parts of India and to attract travellers to Kerala.
The Diwali greetings programme was inaugurated by Shri.A. P. Anilkumar, Hon’ble Minister for Development of Scheduled Caste, Backward Class and Tourism, Government of
Kerala, in Thiruvananthapuram the other day. Shri. T. K. Manoj Kumar IAS, Secretary, Department of Tourism, Smt. Rani George IAS, Director, Department of Tourism,
Dr. Rathan Kelkar IAS, GKSF Director and Addl. Director(General), Department of Tourism, Shri. G. Nandakumar, Asst. General Manager, South Indian Bank attended the function.
General Public can access the video, customise it and send to their friends and relatives, and is being done in association with www.indiavideo.org, a video portal on India. The facility will be available till 26 October 2011 at http://www.indiavideo.org/greetings/diwali/

The fifth edition of South Indian Bank Grand Kerala Shopping Festival will be held from 1st December 2011 to 15th January 2012. A Government of Kerala initiative, GKSF made its debut in the year 2007. The festival coincides with two special occasions of international relevance–Christmas and New Year. Organized by the Department of Tourism in association with the Departments of Industries & Commerce, Finance and Revenue Department, the festival has helped the state to transform into an international shopping hub.
