Trivandrum, 5 January 2012: Indian Railways will introduce a nation wide helpline number 135 for security assistance during train travel. The helpline number which will be directed to the Railway Protection Force (RPF) control centre at Daya Basti which will function 24/7. About 250 staff will function at the call centre and 30 RPF personell will be deployed to respond to the complaints. The project has been launched at an estimated cost of Rs 4.41 crores.
