Trivandrum, 14 March 2013: Kerala State Electricity Board KSEB has announced a campaign named
'Labhaprabha' which will return money back to the customer for saving electricity.The 'Labhaprabha' scheme will work in two folds, one will focus on earning ‘energy credits’ for the customer for saving electricity and the other a ‘no load-shedding’ drive in return.
The scheme which will be launched on March 23 (Earth Day) will run till May 31, 2013. During this period the consumers can avail 50% savings on every unit of electricity saved. For example if the consumer saves 10 units he will be entitled to get cash worth the price of 5 units. This will be an additional savings apart from the regular savings in the form of reduced electricity bill. A no load-shedding drive will also be launched in areas which saves 10% electricity.
Consumers can join the Labhaprabha scheme by registering through sms. Weekly prizes and bumper prizes including Solar lanterns, table lamps, CFL lamps will also be given to the consumers who save more electricity.
